Official Gulf Nursing License Portals: Every Authority's Website

Nearly every page in this library ends the same way: confirm the current details on the official portal. That advice is worth very little if you cannot find the official portal — and for Gulf nursing licences, finding it is genuinely hard. Search almost any licensing term and the first screen is dominated by agencies, “licensing consultancies” and lead-generation sites, several of which are designed to look like the regulator. This page is the directory: the real website for every Gulf licensing authority, plus the two vendors every applicant passes through.

The one thing worth knowing first

Every authority below accepts applications directly from the nurse. There is no regulator in the Gulf that requires you to apply through an agent, and no agent has a faster queue. DataFlow’s own front page invites the applicant to start a verification directly. Paying an intermediary buys convenience and hand-holding, which is a legitimate thing to buy — but it is never the only route, and it is never a requirement. If a website tells you otherwise, that website is selling something.

The domain test

You do not need to memorise nine URLs. You need one habit: check the domain before you trust the page. Gulf regulators live on government domains, and the pattern is consistent enough to use as a filter:

• UAE — .gov.ae for the federal ministry and the emirate health departments (the Dubai licensing system itself sits on a dha.gov.ae subdomain).
• Saudi Arabia — .org.sa for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Saudi government sites also carry a verification badge naming the Digital Government Authority and its registration number.
• Qatar — .gov.qa. Bahrain — .bh. Kuwait — .gov.kw.

A .compromising to “get you your DHA licence” is, without exception, an intermediary rather than the regulator. That is not automatically a scam — but you should know which one you are talking to before you send money or documents.

The United Arab Emirates

The UAE is the one country where several authorities coexist, and which one you need depends on where the job is — not on where you live. If that is still unsettled, start with which Gulf authority you actually need.

Whichever authority you apply to, two non-government companies usually sit in the middle of the process. They are legitimate contractors to the regulators — but because they are commercial .com sites, they are also the easiest names for a lookalike to imitate.

Not every authority uses Prometric. Two route through Pearson VUEinstead — Abu Dhabi’s DOH, which is well known, and Oman’s OMSB, which is not: OMSB’s own Occupational Classification Examinations page and its Omani Examination for Nurses booklet both send nurses to Pearson VUE. So check which vendor your authority actually names before you create an account anywhere — the guide for your authority above says which.

Four checks before you pay anyone

• Whose payment page is this?An official fee is paid on the regulator’s own domain or its named vendor’s. If the checkout is on a third domain, you are paying a middleman’s margin, not a government fee. Compare against the cost breakdown.
• Can I verify this in a public register?Several authorities publish searchable registers of licensed professionals — Dubai’s Medical Registry and Bahrain’s open-data search among them. That is how you check a claimed licence, including a prospective employer’s clinicians, without asking anyone.
• Is anyone asking for my portal login?No regulator needs your password. Handing your Sheryan or SCFHS credentials to an agent puts your identity, your documents and your application history in someone else’s hands, and you cannot see what they submit in your name.
• Is anyone asking to hold my documents? Your degree certificate, registration and passport stay with you. An intermediary holding originals is leverage, not service — and in the UAE, passport confiscation by an employer is prohibited outright.

Government portals get restructured, rebranded and moved, and a licensing system that was at one address last year may be at another today. When that happens, do not go hunting through search results for the closest match — that is exactly where the lookalikes are waiting. Instead:

• Search the authority’s full name and country, and take the result on the government domain from the list above.
• Reach a login or payment page by navigating from the regulator’s home page rather than from a saved deep link.
• Check the date on any page giving you figures — including ours. A licensing page with no review date is telling you nothing about whether it is current.

The bottom line

Nine authorities, two vendors, one habit: check the domain. Every regulator in this list takes your application directly, publishes its own rules, and charges its own fees on its own site. Anything between you and them is a choice you are making, not a step in the process — and knowing the difference is worth more than any single fee on the list.
